She knew she wasn't supposed to become too attached to her patients, but when a young nurse meets a lone, old man, she can't help but feel pity for the man. No one ever comes to visit him; no friends, no family, not a soul. He doesn't have much longer to live. She soon finds herself spending her lunch breaks with him, listening to stories of him growing up right up until the time he was admitted into the hospital. Before he dies, he leaves her with his last dying wish: find his long lost daughter. Caught up in a world of false fronts and secrets, the nurse soon begins to wonder if something from his stories he told her holds the key.
